Man I Love (my) Friends
sitting legs crossed stained carpet gleaming
under kmart copper lights tinkling (hung up w command hooks ofc)
air heavy with misogynistic bangers we are definitely giggling too much
we have the epiphany that The Road to El Dorado was responsible for all our bisexual awakenings
& we talk abt student debt being alive how much our backs hurt
how we should get matching tattoos how 14 y/o us wouldn’t think we’d be
coping like this… but it’s okay that ur not okay it’s cool that ur still here let’s bathe in
the joy found in those miniscule moments like how watching David Attenborough
docos when high is top fucking tier & those moments
when you’re living life & it feels like a poem –
fireworks outside crackling the explosions smearing through the condensation
how pretty people look under streetlights
when u think too hard abt how frightening the ocean is it’s just so damn vast man
yet here we are w our chests collectively aching from laughter
basking in each other’s existence
